Cool game. Why no sequel?

Hi there Issa!

DM2's a grreat improvement over DM1, which was good too (that's why I downloaded the DM2) The storyline is very nice. Characters are warm, sensitive & funny. The ambience is cool.

I wrote that post somewhat complaining the lack of save option in caves in DM1. Thanks a million you solved it.

When are we getting the sequel. I'm 40% thru with the game, I hope we get to play the sequel by the time I'm 100% thru. Ha ha. :D

PS: Nice way of getting yourself to star in the game as King Issa

Love u.

Might register here, dunno yet. Anyway, my name is Thomas and I'm 28 years old.

I didn't like DM1 that much, not too much in the way of character development which I think is a key factor in rpg's. Now, DM2 is definately better and I enjoy it immensely. Have you given any thought as to completing the saga?

It's not that often I come right out and ask questions like this. Just not that easy to find a quality game. I think it's sad how developers are turning towards "GRAPHICS" and not gameplay, including character interaction/development. We need more people like you, keep up the good work. :)

I'm also interested in DMT. Gotta love those Strategy+RPG's. Ahh, brings me back to memories of Wizards and Crowns (1983 - Atari 8-bit). :)

Hi Tom, yea I totally agree with you. Now its just about graphics and not the story. Its so rare to find a good RPG these days, I'm probably gonna check out Dragon Quest 7 seems ok. I do have a great RPG in mind after Chicken Fighters which will feature the three heroes from DM2 and will be Tactics based. Basically you will choose from one hero and make a party choosing from 3 classes (which can all be the same). It will be much more character based. The heroes each have their skills but they wont be that good unless your party backs them up. So basically you can have Nina with 3 fighters or nina with 2 mages and a fighter, etc. At least a year from development so no guarantees on what it will be or even if I make it. Thanks for the comments.

I totally agree with Tom. There are a lot of RPG's that look beautiful, but are pitiful in gameplay.

By the way Issa, if you're looking for a new RPG, check out the Fire Emblem series on the GBA. It's fricken awesome.

Yeah, I would have to say that the Demon's Mantra series has the best gameplay I have ever played.. :D Of course, I haven't played that many games either....

You're right. Demon's Mantra is a f-ing awesome game. You'd swear it was made by a software development team, but here you have a kid in California making kick-ass games.

Gosh, you need to go pro with this Issa! Start your own business, hire people to code, whip them if they ever start making 3-D graphics (lol),etc.

Hmm...

Yeah, graphics aren't worth anything if all you can do is just look cool. No, rescuing your dad and you brother is a lot better, even if you are just a blob of pixels...

Sorry to revive an old topic but this truly is a great game Issa. I just downloaded this yesterday and am halfway through it now. These games are great compared to the complicated and wander around aimlessly looking for that one person out of hundreds to progress types of games. I can honestly say that this is the only website that I've enjoyed all of the games including the CF's. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to play the next one whatever it may be. Tactics sounds excellent.

Issa is busy with another site that's getting him some money. He needs to support himself ya know! In the new site, he lost interest with his non-profit games, so yeh.

Issa, make games that you can get a demo of, then buy the full version. Maybe that would work?

I agree Eco Master. His skills obviously get better with every game. I just hope that if he does do demos that they are area based not time based. Usually by the time I have read all the intro dialogue and have just started getting used to the feel of the controls my 30 mins are up. I would have no problems paying for some of his games, they are far better than some that I have wasted money on.

Yea, thats what I mean. The demos, if made, would cut off rigt when the gamer starts getting into the game. That way, they want to finish it (hopefully), so they buy it! (hopefully)

I got a cool engine for my new RPG, I just havent felt like working on it you know. 40 hours a week, then a girlfriend, not enough time for anything else like I used to have. Then when I do have time I do it on other things. But I understand guys, I know how you feel.

I have just downloaded and played both DM1 and DM2 in 5 days. Cool games. As for your next project, how about a little help from other volunteers? (You say you dont have enough time)

Yea I will take volunteers but not sure what you can do. I could use somebody to make the entire map, its a hard job, especially on my new RPG. There is transparency and stuff to do and everything else.
